Planted with a young bay laurel, this is a kitchen ingredient meant to be kept close. Set in our handmade Serrated Planter, it sits easily on a windowsill or counter, within reach while cooking.
Fresh bay leaf carries a depth that dried leaves rarely hold. The aroma releases as soon as it is cut, warm and resinous, changing the character of a dish in a quiet but unmistakable way.
The pot is made here in our studio, sized to hold the plant steady while allowing room to grow. A raw, serrated edge, holding the mark of its making.
A way to keep something living in the kitchen, and to cook from it, leaf by leaf.
