Printed by Vermont artist Abra Ancliffe, these botanical studies render familiar plants with clarity and restraint. Black ink on soft paper captures the structure, line and particular character of each flower.

Each print holds a plant in stillness, recalling the places it grows: field edges, meadows and thickets.

A STUDY OF PLANT FORM

Abra Ancliffe’s botanical studies begin with close observation: the bend of a stem, the arrangement of leaves, the particular shape of a flower.

Printed in black on soft paper, the series turns attention toward plants we might otherwise pass by. Together, they form a quiet record of the flowers found along field edges, in meadows and throughout the garden.

A GARDEN, ONE PRINT AT A TIME.
